Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Saturday night in Sterling.

The reported robbery of a 23-year-old man took place around 11:20 p.m. when he was walking in the area of Noble Terrace and Royal Villa Terrace. He described his assailant as a Black man in his 20's, about 6-feet tall, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans and a black cap.

The suspect demanded cash and brandished a firearm.

Anyone with information regarding this incident should contact the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division at 703-777-0475. Callers wishing to remain anonymous should contact Loudoun Crime Solvers at 703-777-1919. Information that leads to an arrest and indictment would make the caller eligible for a cash reward.
